MONTEREY – No. 12 state-ranked College of San Mateo surged to its fifth straight win, a 25-20, 25-13, 25-22 sweep at Monterey Peninsula College on Wednesday night.
Aniyah Hall led the Bulldogs' offense with 14 kills as she hit an impressive .542 for the match (14 K, 1 E, 24 A). Madison Low was also solid with 11 kills and 11 digs. Kathleen Suayan led with 19 digs, and Abbi Sanchez totaled 31 assists.
Coming off a pair of wins last week (3-1 at Hartnell, 3-0 vs. Lassen), CSM moved up one spot to No. 12 in this week's California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches Association State Rankings that were released on Monday.
Wednesday's victory at MPC improved the Bulldogs to 10-5 overall as they head into Coast Conference South Division play. CSM travels to Gavilan College next Wednesday (Oct. 9) to open its Coast South schedule.
