About CSM Football

Since beginning football in 1922, College of San Mateo football has set the premier standard of California JC football. We pride ourselves on high levels of performance and focus on developing young men in the classroom, in the weight room, and on the field. Our ultimate goal is to create great citizens who lead by example and give back to their respective communities while playing national championship level football.

The Bulldogs are the reigning 2022 Junior College National Champions. Playing in the Bay 6 Conference, arguably the toughest conference in the state, CSM has dominated, winning conference titles in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2022.  Each year, 35+ CSM football scholar-athletes earn scholarships and move on to four-year schools. In 2022 alone, 34 signees went to Division-1 programs. This totals well over $1,000,000 annually in scholarships awarded to our players and their families.
