Board of Directors

The Board of Directors will consist of the following positions and each will serve for a 2 year term, other than the dean who will remain a permanent member. Board positions can be extended for 2 terms if approved by a simple majority of the Board.

1. Dean/Athletic Director - Chair
2. Male Sport Coach
3. Female Sport Coach
4. Sports Information Director
5. At large member

Categories of induction:

1. Student-athlete: Any student-athlete who fulfilled at least one year of participation on a recognized intercollegiate athletic program is eligible to qualify. Criteria listed below will be considered but not necessarily in rank order. A student-athlete is eligible to qualify for nomination after 5 years have passed since their final year of competition in the sport at College of San Mateo. Special consideration can be granted to individuals whose contributions are deemed worthy for immediate consideration.
   1. Accomplishments while at College of San Mateo
   2. Accomplishments at a 4 year university
   3. Community service/contribution
   4. Professional service/contribution
   5. Must demonstrate good citizenship
      
      
2. Athletic Staff/Faculty: Any faculty/staff member is eligible for nomination within a 5 year time-frame from which their most recent interaction with the intercollegiate athletics program has taken place. Criteria listed below will be considered but not necessarily in rank order. Special consideration can be granted to individuals whose contributions are deemed worthy for immediate consideration.
   1. Accomplishments while at College of San Mateo
   2. Contributions to their profession or employment, including membership in professional organizations, offices held, additional degrees and other distinguishing honors.
      
      
3. Friends and Supporters: A non-participant must have contributed significantly and with equal distinction to College of San Mateo intercollegiate athletics. A nominee who is a College of San Mateo employee must have a 5 year period elapsed since completion of that involvement which leads to consideration for induction. Special consideration can be granted to individuals whose contributions are deemed worthy for immediate consideration. A non-College of San Mateo employee is eligible for immediate consideration.
