CSM named No. 15 seed for NorCal Playoffs, earn five Coast Conference postseason honors
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PLAYOFFS BRACKET
The 2023-24 College of San Mateo women's basketball season will extend to the postseason for the third straight time. On Sunday, the Bulldogs were named the No. 15 seed for the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs.
CSM will play host to No. 18-seed Solano Community College for a first-round game on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. Ticket prices for the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) postseason game are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old. Tickets can be purchased online in advance at the CSM tickets page.
The Bulldogs enter the playoffs with a 18-9 overall record and finished fourth in the final Coast Conference North Division standings at 5-5 under head coach Michelle Warner.
Last year, the Bulldogs advanced to the second round of the playoffs. CSM edged Shasta College 36-33 in its postseason opener before falling 73-54 at College of the Sequoias.
No. 18 Solano wrapped up its regular season with a 21-7 overall record and were co-champions of the Bay Valley Conference with a 13-1 mark. San Mateo and Solano will be meeting for the first time this season.
The winner of Wednesday's match up will move on to a second-round game at No. 2 San Joaquin Delta College (24-4) on Saturday. Three wins are needed by the Bulldogs to advance to the 3C2A State Championships on March 15-17 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
