Bio

Toby Garza is in his 18th year as an assistant coach at the College of San Mateo. With the addition of coach Garza to the Bulldog coaching staff, the College of San Mateo softball team posted a record of 39-6 during their 2012 and 2013 seasons, winning two Coast Conference Championships and were ranked 1st in Northern California and in the top 2 in California Community College Softball. Toby started coaching youth softball in San Bruno in 1990.

After working with youth softball teams for 4 years he became a member of the coaching staff at Capuchino High School, where he was a part of a great coaching staff that led the Mustangs to three consecutive Central Coast Section Championships. Throughout 1994-1998 Toby also assisted in coaching the 12u, 14u, and 16u Peninsula Elite, and the San Bruno Mustangs fall ball teams. After going on an eight year hiatus Toby returned to CSM. Coach Garza specializes in outfield play and slap hitting.
