Andrew Silva has coached water polo and swimming at the high school, club, community college, NCAA Division I, and international levels. Some of his past experience includes leading the Marist College women’s water polo team to the 2006 NCAA Championship Tournament, and rebuilding the women’s aquatics program at Citrus College. At Morro Bay High School, he coached the girl’s water polo and swim teams to league titles in the 2018/2019 seasons, and most recently was responsible for the aquatics program at Serra High School with the title of Aquatics Director. He currently works in multiple positions for USA Water Polo, including National Team Coach and Manager for several National Teams. This includes being an assistant coach for the Women’s Youth National Team that won Gold medals at the UANA tournaments in 2014 and 2019, and traveling with the Men’s and Women’s Junior and Men’s Cadet National Teams to international competitions. He's also spent time as a member of the Women’s Senior National Team staff. This has involved several international trips as coach and administrator, including a 2022 tournament in Peru where he served as an assistant coach during the FINA Intercontinental Cup. Most recently he was part of the coaching staff for the FINA World Women's Youth Water Polo Championships in Belgrade, Serbia where the USA won the Gold medal.
