Bio

A CSM alum, Terry Butler rejoined the CSM staff in 2010 after being away from the program for several years. Coach Butler assists with player development and operations, as well as being the recruiting coordinator.  Coach Butler is a 1992 graduate of Saint Francis High School where he was a varsity player for 3 years. After a year at UC Davis, Coach Butler transferred to the College of San Mateo and played one season under Coach Larry Owens.  He then earned a scholarship to Eastern Illinois University where he played for two seasons.  His senior year, Butler helped the EIU Panthers finish the season with a 10-2 record, winning the Gateway Conference, playing in the D1-AA playoffs, and finishing 18th in the country.  Coach Butler coached the defensive backs at CSM from '96-'98. He is married with 3 kids. He works as a fireman in Reno, NV. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership.
