
Dorn takes first place, CSM men finish third at Pat Ryan Invitational
SANTA ROSA – Freshman Ericka Dorn continued her solid first season for the College of San Mateo women's cross country team by finishing in first place at the Pat Ryan Invitational on Friday. The event took place at Spring Lake Regional Park in Santa Rosa and was hosted by Santa Rosa Junior College.
Dorn, who had compiled three top-five finishes entering the race, earned her first win of the season. She cleared the 5,000-meter course with a season-best time of 19:00.0.
Deia Kerseg-Foreman joined Dorn in the top-10, finishing in sixth place with a time of 20:29.8. Rounding out the CSM women was Violeta Vasquez-Lopez in 15th place at 24:00.8.
Led by a 12th-place finish by Aria Park, the San Mateo men totaled 94 points to take third place out of six teams at the Pat Ryan Invitational.
Park also ran a season-best time, clearing the 4-mile course with a time of 22:35.5.

San Mateo will now turn its attention towards the postseason. Up next for the Bulldogs is the Coast Conference Championships at their home course, Crystal Springs in Belmont. The event is set for Oct. 30.
