SAN MATEO – The wins keep piling up for College of San Mateo.
On Saturday, Tiare Novero-Paaga scored a team-high 11 points while Mikaela Nava added 10 points to help lead the Bulldogs to a 66-41 victory over visiting Sacramento City College.
San Mateo jumped out to a 16-8 lead after the first quarter and held a commanding 34-17 advantage at halftime.
Venus-Miari Pascua added 9 points and 7 rebounds and Deanna Ayao chipped in with 8 points.
CSM has now won nine consecutive games to improve its overall record to 11-3. San Mateo's last loss came almost a month ago on Nov. 18 against Feather River College. Since then, the Bulldogs also have wins over Cuesta, Mission, Redwoods, Shasta (twice), Lassen, Santa Barbara, and Marin.
San Mateo will next put its streak on the line when it hosts No. 20 state-ranked West Los Angeles College on Wednesday (Dec. 21) at 5:30 p.m.
