Bulldogs slug 4 home runs in Coast North opening win at Chabot
HAYWARD – There was no shortage of power in College of San Mateo's Coast Conference North Division opener at Chabot College on Tuesday as the two squads combined for 8 home runs in the contest.
But a final shot by the Bulldogs, a solo homer in the top of the ninth inning Rowan Felsch, proved to the game-winner that lifted CSM to a 9-8 victory.
Collin O'Driscoll launched a pair of solo home runs while Vicente Feliciano smacked a two-run blast in the top of the first to get CSM on the board.
The Bulldogs built a 7-0 lead heading into the bottom of the fourth before Chabot began its power surge to eventually tie up the game.
Felsch led off the ninth with the home run to put the Bulldogs out in front for good.
