SAN MATEO – The College of San Mateo women's volleyball team held on to its No. 13 state ranking after picking up a pair of non-conference victories at home last week.

CSM was ranked No. 13 for the second consecutive California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches Association (CCCWVCA) state poll. San Joaquin Delta, American River, and Long Beach City currently make up the state's top-3 in this week's rankings.

The Bulldogs are coming off two wins last week after hosting Los Medanos and Solano in a home quad on Wednesday. CSM cruised to a 25-12, 25-15, 25-13 sweep of Los Medanos and rallied to beat Solano in four by scores of 17-25, 25-15, 27-25, 25-22.

Faith Crouch and Aniyah Hall both stood out on offense for the Bulldogs as they both totaled 20 kills each over the two matches.

CSM had 55 kills in the win over Solano, getting 12 from Hall, 11 each from Madison Low and Sina Leha'uli, as well as 10 from Crouch.

Abbi Sanchez came up big in that win with 49 assists while Anivaolelagi Moors-Tafilele had a team-high 16 digs.

The Bulldogs improved to 7-5 overall after the two wins and are back in action on Wednesday (Sep. 25) when they travel to Hartnell College for a 5 p.m. Coast Conference interdivision match.
