CSM men fifth at Coast Conference Championships

BELMONT – Led by a 16th-place showing by sophomore Adrian Vizcarra, the College of San Mateo men's cross country team totaled 113 points to finish in fifth place at the 2022 Coast Conference Championships. The meet was held on Wednesday at the Bulldogs' home Crystal Springs Cross Country course.

Vizcarra cleared the 4.195-mile course with his team-leading time of 23:31.3. He was followed by freshman Leo Thompson in 20th place, clocking in at 24:08.1.

Just inside the top-30 were freshmen Aria Park in 28th place (24:50.9) and Joseph Gutierrez in 29th (25:00.3). Also for the Bulldogs, freshman Brevan Rhode was 44th (27:17.7) and Noah Pineda finished in 57th place (38.43.4).

The CSM men will wait to see if they qualify for the upcoming Northern California Championships that are set to take place on Nov. 5 at Rohner Park in Fortuna.
