SACRAMENTO - Unbeaten Riverside City College and once-defeated College of San Mateo have earned the top seeds in the upcoming CCCAA Football Regional Championships, leading eight teams with eyes on a state championship in December as playoff matchups and pairings for 12 bowl games were announced on Sunday morning by the Northern California Football Conference and the Southern California Football Association.

College of San Mateo (9-1) will look to make a trip back to the state title game for the first time since 2019. The Bulldogs will open their quest when they host fourth-seeded Modesto (5-5) in a noon kickoff next Saturday.

Ticket prices for the CCCAA postseason game at CSM's College Heights Stadium are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old. Tickets are available online at the CSM Athletics website. | TICKETS

In the other Northern California Playoff matchup, Laney (9-1), the 2018 titlist, will take the second seed into its home game against third-seeded American River (7-3) at 5 p.m.

Riverside (10-0), runner-up to the City College of San Francisco in last year's title game, will open its quest to return to the matchup when the Tigers host fourth-seeded Ventura (7-3) in one of two SoCal regional clashes. Riverside, the 2019 state champion, and Ventura will play at 2 p.m. at San Bernardino Valley College next Saturday (Nov. 20) while second-seeded Fullerton will host third-seeded Mt. San Antonio at 6 p.m. at Orange Coast College in a pair of 9-1 teams.

Regional finals will be hosted by the higher seeds on Saturday, Dec. 3, with the regional champions to battle for the CCCAA Football Championship on Dec. 10. The game will be hosted by the NorCal champion and broadcast on BAOSN.tv and available on www.cccaasports.org.
